Man, wat een diepgang in die tekst...NOT...

Ik heb ff You Tube afgeschuimd naar die mannen, en wat zijn me dat een janetten zeg... het gemiddelde Radiohead, placebo...enz nummer is harder, ruiger, en stukken vetter!

En als we het gaan hebben over koningen van de tekst mag dan toch zeker Tom Waits niet ontbreken. Dit is voor mij toch één van de koningen!! zie bvb:

Tja, dat is een tenminste een tekst om U tegen te zeggen (en zo zijn quasi al zijn teksten)

Radiohead-teksten idem dito, niet dat het poëzie is om te lezen zoals bij Tom Waits, maar samen met hun muziek, ritme enz zijn ze vaak een kaakslag tegen de maatschappij van vandaag.

@ MMVV: Ge moet ook geen appelen met peren vergelijken hè. Manowar is een schoolvoorbeeld van glamrock. Terwijl Placebo (is een van mijn lievelingsgroepen, vooral hun laatste is super!) en Radiohead (i'm with Fuel, da's chronisch geween) helemaaaaaaal iets anders is. Daarenboven gaan die nummerkes mij niet om de tekst. De enige nummerkes waar ik echt let op de tekst zijn rapnummers.

Aja, en da van da harder en ruiger, das dikke, DIKKE zever dude. Black Wind Fire and Steel is retehard. De rest mss niet, maar da's mijn punt ook ni.

Weet ik wel hoor "dude", maar wou gewoon Fuel wat jennen met die 'koningen van de tekst'

Aan de laatste van Placebo (ik veronderstel dat je Battle for the sun bedoelde) moet ik nog even wennen, als ik een album van hen moet kiezen ga ik voor 'black market music', maar er staan op verschillende albums verschrikkelijke goeie nummers, dus één album kiezen kan ik niet.

Wat Radiohead betreft ga ik HELEMAAL niet akkoord met de term chronisch geween, ze zijn volgens mij toch één van de meest invloedrijke bands die er de voorbije jaren geweest zijn, je moet je er eens voor open stellen en ze zullen je nooit meer los laten!!
