The car is absolutely incredible. Fast as hell....accelation is scary. An ENORMOUS difference between the automatic. Anyone who buys an expensive sportscar that is a tiptronic (or) automatic should REALLY THINK TWICE. I wanted to say that they are an "idiot"....and I say this only to prevent others from making the same mistake i did!

Did I mention that the car is ridicoulously fast?

I raced a Lamborghini Gallardo for about an hour a absolutely pounded it at every speed. It was a joke....and embarrasing for him with his girlfriend in the car. The Gallardo could weave in and out of traffic more efficiently, well...from what i could observe in my REAR-VIEW mirror!

I could go on and on..... but you would have to drive the car yourself to understand the power and acceleration. Although power is VERY smooth and balanced....the second gear especially is scary....you actually get nervous from the power......and anyone in the passenger seat will freak-out when you give full-gas.

The Police

Well....all good things must come to an end.

I was detained by the Swiss Police for speeding and the car was impounded. Mr. Balsen is correct. If this would not have happened, I would never be writing this thread....I would be out racing!

Unfortunately, one of the policeman was a huge Audi fan and realized that the car had a manual transmission. In Switzerland you have to have a Handelregistrarsauszug, (registration), which includes an exact description of the car (torque, horsepower, etc). If the registation doesn't match the car, then you have to get a new one....which involves an inspection of the car. At one point, the Swiss Police contacted Sportec because of the markings on the engine and Sportec denied the 610 Horsepower.....funny shit!

Since the Swiss Authorities would need to disassemble the car completely to make a proper inspection, we agreed that they would return the car and I would export it immediately to the US. The car arrives in the States this week.

uiteraard komen die zaken zoals ESP en ABS daar bij kijken, de motor zal zelfs niet lopen als die sensoren en parameters niet aangepast worden.

een B5 RS4 boite kost 5000€, 45000€ voor de rest (zoals een passend boitehuis maken voor op de vliegwielzijde te koppelen) blijft veel hoor... MAAR ze doen het toch maar, zeer impressionant.

DH rekent 10 werkdagen voor de ombouw, strookt dan weer ergens niet met MTM.. achja, in the end zal er bij beide wel een 6-bak ondersteken

ja zowiezo, maar het prijsverschil is staggering, en DH past ook alles aan van sturing. Behuizing enzo moeten ze daar ook aanpassen, anders past die boite simpelweg niet... dus daar kan al geen verschil zitten.

En toch...ocharme die Ami's dat ze geen avants gekregen hebben. Ik zou never de sedan boven een avant prefereren, hoe geil sommige exemplaren ook zijn.
