The rarest of the rare, being offered for sale for the very first time. Jaguar XJ220-S. This vehicle is 1 of 5 ever made. It has been restored in Lamborghini Titanium color. The interior is beige and gray leather and alcantara with full harness competition spec seat belts.
The XJ220S was modified by TWR Motorsports. The body shape and the panels came directly from the 1993 Le mans Class winning 220C Race Car. The power from the 6 cylinder twin turbo engine has been increased to 680HP and the vehicle weighs only 2,300 lbs! 0-60 is estimated at 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 229 MPH!
The removable Le Mans styled front nose section, along with the front splitter, sill panels and rear tail section with adjustable wing, are manufactured in composites and carbon fiber. Both doors are manufactured in aluminum.
The XJ220S is one of the very rare vehicles that is not a hybrid. It is a pure project by a company that has pure racing heritage. Unlike the McLaren or the Zonda, the XJ220S is designed, manufactured from chassis to engine by Jaguar (such as Ferraris are). The future collectibility value of pure factory rare project vehicles such as the XJ220S have proven to be invaluable and priceless and these vehicles are irreplaceable. An example of such collectibility are the C & D Type Jaguars. Including the 11 factory team race cars, a total of 54 C-Types were built. That makes the C-Type rarer than the 71 Jaguar D-Type race cars, which replaced the C-Type in 1954. Both are valued at more than $1 million.
Yet the XJ220S is the rarest of the rare with only 5 examples ever made. These priceless vehicles are expected to be deep into the Millions of Dollars in the near future.
