Here, in Moscow. My friend, who drive silver US GT-R. He has only 2000 miles on it.

Yesterday after some starts with 911 Turbo, he try to start, when "BOOM" from the rear of car. After that car start only in 2 gear, then shift 4 gear, and drive max. 34 km/h (20 mph), and big noise from rear.

He try to order new Gearbox, but its not in stock in USA and nobody knows when it will be where. JDM gearboxes have different electronic. And no official GT-R in Russia, no parts, no service. Cost of GB in USA 12.000$

That do you guys think, may be any advise for us, where we can take new gearbox?

Wat een ongelooflijk gezeik toch allemaal.
Als ik een auto bestel, hoef ik daar toch geen jaar op te wachten zeker.
Alsof hij van een ander zonnestelsel komt afgevlogen ofzo...

Ik had er ook intresse voor, ben naar Nissan Belgie geweest, gebeld, gemaild enz... T'is alsof ik een Space Shutlle wil kopen, en zelfs kan ik mijn eigen centen dan nog niet uitgeven bij een dealer van m'n keuze, want er is slechts één servicepunt... bullshit.

Bij Nissan creëren ze zelf die hype om de boel wat exclusief te maken, terwijl er ergens op een parking waarschijnlijk 100-en staan te wachten.
Zo hebben toekomstige eigenaars (no offence...) het gevoel om iets speciaals te hebben, terwijl hun auto binnen een paar jaar nog niet eens de helft meer waard is.
En stukken zijn er blijkbaar ook al niet te krijgen.
Best nog een jaar of 3 wachten en dan een leuke "okkasie" op te kop tikken...

(In '99 was dat met mijn GTT hetzelfde, allemaal liggen hypen, lange levertijden enz... en nu is da hok nog geen 5000€ waard...)

In de grond heb je gelijk!!

Het is echt een overhyping! Soms is het ook erg storend , maar voor mij komt het nu eigenlijk kwa timing wel nog goed uit; Plus nu weet ik hoe het is om ergens lang naar uit te kijken, ook wel eens fijn.

Alleen blijf ik bezorgd om die versnellingsbak; Nu goed alle techniekers zweren bij hoog en bij laag dat dit om typische pre-producties gaat die via het grijze circuit de markt in gaan..

Nissan zou je met open armen moeten ontvangen (en tijdens de wachttijd een fuly loaded 350Z moeten geven).

Als je 80k+ aan een auto geeft, in deze tijd, die dan nog eens een goeie 15l gaat verbruiken als je normaal rijd, moeten ze verdomme blij zijn.

Nu ja, die mentaliteit is vrijwel bij elk merk te vinden...

Ik stap een paar weken geleden een BMW dealer binnen, zie daar een "premium E46 M3 occasie staan" en bied 8000 € minder dan de vraagprijs.
Uiteraard werd ik zo wat arrogant uitgelachen maar vorige week belt die pipo toch om te vragen of ik nog intresse had, tegen mijn prijs.
Hoe zielig ben je dan...

Uiteindelijk zal mijn GTR er ook wel komen, alleen wacht ik nog effe af hoe de verkoop zal draaien...

Een standaard bak gaat zowieso kapot van sprinten en roodlicht-starts.
Hoe snel dit gaat hangt af van je rechtervoet en verstand.

Ik heb met mijn bak 160.000 km gereden (inclusief de orignele koppeling) en pas dan begaf de 5e versnelling het. Normaal gaat 2 of 3 om zeep.

Er zijn andere SUbarurijders die na 1500 km al terug bij de dealer staan..

Porsche has just run its own back-to-back tests with the Japanese company's GT-R supercar and says it could not get within 25 seconds of Nissan's claimed record time of seven minutes 29 seconds in April.
It also found its 911 Turbo and GT2 were both quicker than the GT-R.
"This wonder car with 7:29 could not have been a regular series production car," says August Achleitner, the 911 product chief for Porsche, speaking to the CARSguide at the Australian press preview of the latest 911 Cabrio.
"For us, it's not clear how this time is possible. What we can imagine with this Nissan is they used other tyres."
He believes the time achieved by Nissan with ex-Formula One driver Toshio Suzuki would only be possible with a semi-slick race-style tyre.
Achleitner says Porsche took a standard GT-R, running on regular road tyres, and ran it around the Nurburgring within two hours of its own cars, on the same day with exactly the same weather conditions.
He says there was no tweaking of any kind and the GT2 and Turbo both ran on regular Porsche road tyres, the Michelin Sport Cup.
"We bought the car in the US. We drove a GT-R with new tyres," he says.
Achleitner was initially protective of the exact lap times, which were run during a program when Porsche also compared its upcoming four-door Panamera with a range of potential rivals.
But he eventually revealed his team clocked the GT-R at 7 minutes 54 seconds, with the 911 Turbo managing 7:38 and the GT2 getting down to 7:34.
The laps were not run by Porsche's usual hot-lap specialist, former world rally champion and race winner Walter Rohrl, but one of the company's chassis development engineers who is an expert on the Nurburgring.
Achleitner says the back-to-back comparison was run because Porsche was concerned by Nissan's claims for the GT-R, which is heavier than the 911 with similar power.
"The Nissan is a good car. I don't want to make anything bad with my words," he says.
"It's a very consistent car. But this car is about 20 kilos heavier than the Turbo . . ."
In the end, Porsche believes its testing has achieved the right lap times for the Skyline GT-R and benchmarked it against its own 911 heroes in the right context.
"For us it has been clearly the result. This technical puzzle now fits together. With the other numbers we had problems to understand it," he says.

Heb zelf de cup banden liggen en met cup banden kunt ge echt wel een pak sneller gaan op circuit.
