Ik wacht ondertussen op officiële info van het Belgische NHPC.
Als men inderdaad moet toegeven dat de LC schadelijk is voor de bak (en de bak dus inderdaad aan zijn marges zit) dan ga ik me nog eens zeer sterk bezinnen.

According to Inside Line's testing, the GT-R's acceleration is dramatically slower without launch control — effectively relegating the one-time top dog of the supercar realm to B-list status. Our test of a Japanese-spec model, which is easily the quickest GT-R we've ever tested thanks to high-octane Japanese fuel, proved how much launch control aids Godzilla's holeshot: Zero to 60 mph required 4.5 seconds (4.0 seconds with 1 foot of rollout like on a drag strip). The quarter-mile slowed to 12.2 seconds. That's a full second slower to 60 (no rollout) and a half-second slower in the quarter mile than the last GT-R press car we tested using launch control.

normaalgezien zou ik zo'n 30000 tot 35000 km per jaar doen
dat wil dus zeggen 3 maal per jaar binnen aan $2000 (wat ik heb gelezen)
Bij Porsche is dit maar 1 keer voor dezelfde prijs

ook de versnellingsbak doet me twijfelen
ben niet van plan hem te sparen maar wil het risico ook niet lopen dat ik ieder jaar nieuwe tandwielen moet steken omdat ze te zwak zijn

dat garantiegeval is ook maar bullshit
ieder geval van breuk aan de aandrijflijn zal niet meer onder de garantie vallen
want iedereen zal de VDC wel eens hebben afgelegd

die extra 5pk zijn er waarschijnlijk 15 minder
nu hebben ze allemaal (op testbanken) minstens 500+ en 650+ Nm
versnellingsbak is maar bestand tegen 600Nm (voor zover ik heb gelezen)
met LC en hoge temperaturen is de kans op breuk dus groot

wat hebben ze dus nu gedaan (volgens mij)
op papier 5 pk meer
maar in werkelijkheid minimum 15 minder en maar slechts maximaal 600Nm
zoals het vroegen ook op papier stond
dus veel minder op het achterwiel en geen LC
waardoor de versnellingsbak gered is
gevolg
prestaties fel naar beneden
en wat was de bestaansreden ook al weer van die wagen
de concurrentie (lees Porsche Turbo) verslaan
resultaat zal zijn dat ze nog net zullen meekunnen met een 911s2 (facelift)
tegen een op het einde van de levensduur een gelijke prijs
wat moet men een mens dan doen

en als dit alles waar is hem misschien aan de straatstenen niet meer kwijt kunnen

Ik laat de auto niet vallen owv een Launch control of niet, ik zou wel overwegen dit te doen omdat het volgens mij wijst op het feit dat Nissan zelf aangeeft dat de versnellingsbak zijn limits heeft bereikt.
Alle hardware aan een wagen zou voor mij berekend moeten zijn op +20% van wat het origineel vermogen is.

Ook het feit dat wij toekomstige eigenaars zo weinig officiële info krijgen stoort me, en ik denk dat cdpcdp dit eveneens storend vindt, Daggie heeft al gecancelled, ..

Q. Why did you select Dunlop as a unique factory tyre supplier?
Having already proved itself as a key component in enabling the GT-R to set its 7’29” lap time of the Nordschliefe in April, the programme of extensive ongoing tyre testing and improvement continues. At the Nurburgring in September and back in Japan afterwards, the GT-R development team were able to prove that the Dunlop tyre was the preferred tyre for European usage taking into account such areas as handling, ride comfort, wet weather performance, circuit longevity and high-speed stability

Q. Is it possible to still have silver-coloured wheels?
Factory fitted Silver wheels have been deleted from the GT-R line-up for all markets, not just the European version

Q. Does the non-navigation car have bluetooth at all?
Non-Navigation GT-R will have Bluetooth functionality for phones only

Q. If yes, what bluetooth phone standards does it support?
We are checking on this specific point, we have a list of phones that other markets’ Bluetooth will support but need to further understand if this is compatible for the European version too.

Q. Does the Bluetooth support AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) and A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) standards. If it does, it should play music from most MP3 players.
Bluetooth streaming capability will exist as part of the package of features with Satellite Navigation. We are checking in respect of the specific streaming standards it will support.

Q. Has the fuel tank been enlarged?
A. The size of the fuel tank has increased from 71 litres to 73.8 litres

Q. Has there been a change in fuel consumption?
Based on the Japanese method of measuring fuel consumption there has been a minor change in fuel consumption from 8.2 km/litre to 8.5 km/litre. Any improvements will be reflected in the European standard of measurement once the car has received Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) for Europe.

Q. Are there any optional extras available?
There are no Factory Fitted options available. There will be a range of Dealer Fitted accessories available for the GT-R in Europe. These are still under development but will include such items as a car cover, warning triangle and floor mats. Full details and pricing will be available nearer launch.

Q. Is launch control still included?
There is no change to the stability systems and features on the European GT-R as already available in the Japanese market

Q. What's the warranty situation with VDC now?
There is no change to the warranty cover. If it can be proven that a component has been damaged as a result of driving with VDC OFF then warranty for that component is not applicable.

Q. Are the rebranded calipers still actually Brembos?
The branding on the calipers for European GT-Rs will continue as Brembo until the commencement of Satellite Navigation production. At this point, the branding will change to feature both Brembo and NISSAN in line with the running changes introduced for the U.S. and Japanese markets. The design, manufacture and performance of the brake calipers has not changed. Please note – the image on the internet of just NISSAN branding prior to the official release of information on December 8 was a pure photoshop and not an official Nissan image.

Q. What are the headlining colours for the 3 editions now?
There is no change to the colours for the headlining – Base/Premium Edition feature grey headlining, Black headlining for the Black Edition.

Q. Can black wheels be downgraded to gun metal on the Black Edition?
No, the colour of the wheels is used as the key differentiator to identify a Black Edition

Q. Is the black colour still only available on the Black Edition?
Yes, there is no change to the availability of Black Paint

Q. Will there be a finance package to help with the credit crunch?
Not currently but possibly later depending on residual values the car fetches

Q. Will they be putting the new version round the Nurburgring?
The running changes to the GT-R which have just been announced were approved for production during the recent test programme at the Nurburgring in October.

Q. How can they expect customers with delivery due in April to just accept something as controversial as black wheels without any opportunity to change?
A global embargo release date of December 8 was given to all markets to strictly adhere to. We were not able to make information public prior to this date.

Q. Are individuals going to be notified of their personal deadline for spec/colour changes?
Based on an individuals’ build/delivery date the selling Nissan High Performance Centre (NHPC) will contact them about the final deadline for vehicle factory specification

Q. What about iPod connectivity (by cable rather than Bluetooth via an adapter)?
iPod connectivity will be part of the functionality available with Satellite Navigation

Q. When is the specification of the Satellite Navigation being announced?
The GT-R will be the first Nissan to receive the new generation of Satellite Navigation. We have outline details of its functionality and will be able to demonstrate these to the NHPCs early in the new year. Additional functionality for the GT-R is being considered but not yet confirmed.

What's the warranty situation with VDC now?
14) What are the servicing costs/interval going to be? Scheduled maintenance intervals are expected to be 12 monthly, with inspections 6 monthly (when this falls at time of annual service, inspection will be carried out at the same time). Costs not available at this stage, but the first four inspections will be performed free of charge at Nissan High Performance Centres.

22) Will the MFD have an AUX in connection as per the JDM / US version. My understanding is that this is what has allowed people to connect rear view camera devices, dvd players and, dare I say it, other sat nav display devices.

Nissan Japan to Update GT-R Owners Manual Regarding VDC Usage


Following on from the US wording in the Nissan GT-R’s Owners Manual regarding the use of the VDC switch on the dashboard, Nissan Japan are following suite for the 2009 delivered Nissan GT-Rs. The new wording will make mention that failures caused due to driving the car with VDC set to off may not be covered under warranty.
This is old news for US owners but new to the Japanese owners and suggests that launch control is still to be found on the Series II Nissan GT-R.
Nissan USA have made in the past made an statement regarding the use of the VDC and the launch control feature and it’s pertinent to mention that here as well:

The singular thing people need to remember is that using launch control does not void the warranty - The warranty clause regarding the operation of the vehicle with VDC turned off states that Nissan will not cover damage or failures of otherwise covered components, IF it can be determined that the use of launch control led or contributed to the failure. The act of using launch control (which requires turning off the VDC) will not automatically void the vehicle warranty. Simply put, the warranty outlines that failures or damage resulting from things such as misuse, accidents, non-factory modifications, etc. are not covered under the factory warranty.
Further, the warranty states that VDC should only be turned off to help when rocking the vehicle when stuck in mud or snow.
Nissan will not void the entire warranty on any of our cars based on one specific issue of one specific component or system, however, a part or system won’t be covered under warranty if Nissan determines that the failure was as a result of misuse, modifications, etc. (as mentioned above).

Simply put, the warranty outlines that failures or damage resulting from things such as misuse, accidents, non-factory modifications, etc. are not covered under the factory warranty.

Misuse is een rekbaar begrip. Het lijkt me logisch dat je enige vorm van tractiekontrole kán afzetten, want anders blijf je inderdaad ter plaatse staan als het ijzelt of als er sneeuw ligt.
Er is wel een groot verschil tussen dat en de launch control gebruiken om te gaan dragracen.
Dat zal bij een eventueel ongeluk of beschadigingen ook snel blijken.

Verder heb ik de indruk dat Nissan zelf een mythe aan het creeren is rond heel dit gedoe. Maar of ze daardoor meer wagens gaan verkopen?
