2012 Audi A5 Sportback (facelift)

Facelifts, revamps, mid-cycle updates--call them what you will, they usually bring minor tweaks and mild upgrades. These spy shots of the upcoming Audi A5 [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]Sportback[/COLOR][/COLOR] update hint that larger changes may be afoot, particularly for the S5 variant.

With a face that looks decidedly more [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]A6[/COLOR][/COLOR]-like and a similarly-updated LED [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]rear [COLOR=blue !important]light[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] layout, the car spied here wears heavier camouflage than the typical air-dam-and-side-skirts tape you find on most facelifts.

New fog lights and reshaped front air inlets also appear to feature under the disguise. Though the profile is similar to a smaller A7, some [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]design [COLOR=blue !important]cues[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] found on the new, larger four-door coupe don't appear to have made the translation, including the 100 Coupe S-inspired kick at the rear window line. While it's hard to tell with the swirly vinyl coating, the side panels may have received some of the A7's slimming surface undulations, however.

We'll keep digging on more details and info, as well as the latest spy shots, as development of the car continues. For now, look for a debut of the car at next year's Geneva Motor Show, about six months after the facelifted standard A5 is expected in Frankfurt. De A5 Sportback is nog niet zo lang leverbaar, maar Audi streeft meer dan ooit naar een eenvormig familiegezicht. Vandaar dat we nu al de gefacelifte S5 Sportback hebben gespot.

Audi maakt het er binnenkort niet gemakkelijker op voor de autospotters: werp één blik op de voorzijde van deze auto en je denkt in de eerste instantie dat je een A6 ziet. Dat is echter een bewuste keuze van Audi, dat naar eigen zeggen met het ‘first glance, second glance’ werkt: met de eerste blik moet iedereen kunnen zien dat het een Audi is, met een tweede blik moet (bijvoorbeeld door de vorm van de dagrijverlichting en de single frame-grille) duidelijk worden wat voor model uit Ingolstadt het dan precies is.
De facelift wordt er eentje van fijnslijperij. De technische basis van de auto blijft hetzelfde en ook bij het motorenpalet verwachten we niet of nauwelijks wijzigingen. Dus deze S5 Sportback krijgt vermoedelijk weer een 333 pk sterke 3,0-liter compressormotor onder de kap. Audi wijzigt dus wel zaken aan het uiterlijk en binnenin komen er wellicht nieuwe materialen en voorzieningen beschikbaar.
In de tweede helft van dit jaar verwachten we een eerste levensteken van de licht opgefriste A5 Coupé. De Sportback is er nog niet zo lang, dus de opgefriste vijfdeurs versie volgt mogelijk pas later.

Lijkt me dat ze het front inderdaad gaan aanpakken, maar ik zie toch ook een wijziging de raamstructuur in de flank.

niet voor de sportback, die zou pas begin 2012 zijn.

Audi starts production of MY2012 for most models in week 22, but NOT for A5 and S5.
at that point there are only some color changes, nothing else.
MY 2012 for A5 will start production in week 37.
the model-change will be introduced at the IAA in september.
new cars will arrive at the dealers in november.
this includes all varieties of A5 and S5, except for the Sportback, which will be updated early 2012.
RS5 will be update in the second half of next year.

vandaag nog eens naar de audidealer geweest , volgens hem zou je bij bestelling nu al de facelift hebben 99,9 % zeker.

Omdat men ondertussen al voorbij produktieweek 37 zitten en dan zou het model veranderen. maar zie vorige post van mij ,is dat wel voor de sportback ook ?

levering zou voor april 2012 zijn

vraag me soms af of men je nu niet laat tekenen en dan wacht om de auto in te geven tot de facelift beschikbaar is ? daarom maar levering april 2012 ?
