          £15K heroes
With just 15 bags of sand, you can choose from some seriously good performance cars. We kick off with our supermini supertest, as the new Suzuki Swift Sport tackles rivals from Renaultsport, Audi, Abarth, Mini, Ford and SEAT. £15K needn’t mean three doors and a hundred-odd horsepower, though – it could also buy you some truly iconic metal. David Vivian then tries some used exotics from BMW, Maserati, TVR, Porsche and Honda, and there’s a detailed look at the running costs too

                      24th April 2012

                      News
An Italian revolution as Maserati makes a mid-engined supercar and Lamborghini builds an SUV concept

                      First drives
Renaultsport Megane 265, basic Porsche 911 Carrera, the first diesel BMW M Car - the 500d xDrive, Vauxhall's madcap Maloo and a 375bhp Ford Focus RS all go under the evo microscope

                      Letters
Including several attacks on our well-known anti-Porsche viewpoint, after both 918 and 991 failed to float our boat

                      Subaru BRZ: the full test

Despite its humble power and price tag, the BRZ is one of this year’s most eagerly anticipated cars. We give it its sternest test anywhere, via a 1000-mile road trip through France, a group test against its three toughest foes - Nissan 370Z, Renaultsport Megane 265 and Mazda MX-5 - over Welsh mountain roads, a track battle versus the mighty Megane Trophy and a meeting with its illustrious Impreza Turbo forebear. Is this Subaru’s second coming?

…about the Pagani Zonda. Apparently it nearly became a Lamborghini and can be safely crashed at 199mph (sort of)
