    Het Cars & Coffee Mekka: Orange County, Californië

    Het fenomeen dat Cars & Coffee nu is, is ooit ontstaan in Orange County, California. Ook nu nog is de aanwezigheid van ongelooflijke auto's een doodnormale zaak. Elk weekend zijn er minstens 1 of 2 events de moeite.

    Om een idee te geven van wat ik hier zoal zie, een paar foto's...

          Een "echte" autoliefhebber is voor mij iemand die alle soorten wagens kan waarderen.

                  Als regelmatige US reiziger zo al een paar meets meegemaakt in Daytona en Naples. Zalig wat je daar allemaal ziet. Wagens uit Europa die je hier niet meer ziet, zie je daar terug,

                    Als regelmatige US reiziger zo al een paar meets meegemaakt in Daytona en Naples. Zalig wat je daar allemaal ziet. Wagens uit Europa die je hier niet meer ziet, zie je daar terug,
                    Yup, kameraad hier heeft een Escort Cosworth, bijvoorbeeld.
                    Maar er zijn ook specifieke meets voor bijvoorbeeld hot rods, oude Amerikaanse wagens, huidige wagens zoals Chargers en Challengers, etc etc.

                      Het grootste verschil is dat hier niemand scheef kijkt als je met een speciale wagen buitenkomt, in tegenstelling tot West Europa.
                      1 van de auto's in bovenstaande foto's is de mijne, trouwens

                                      Echt eh. Ik hoor hier 3-4 keer per dag een Aventador voorbijrijden, plus Huracans, etc. Allicht ook Ferraris maar die zijn zo stil.
